Connecticut River Film World (ok, watershed) Premiere

Greenfield, MA – Join the Connecticut River Conservancy (CRC) on Tuesday, April 9 at 7pm as they premiere their recent film “Source to Sea Jump-In Journey” at The Parlor Room in Northampton, MA. The event is in partnership with Focus Locus, a project of Northampton Community Television.

The short and entertaining documentary, approximately 25-minutes, follows the journey of CRC Executive Director Andrew Fisk and his wife Karen as they travel the length of the Connecticut River in honor of CRC’s 65th anniversary. They paddle, row, sail, water ski, motor, and splash mob their way across four states following the journey by Dr. Davidson, CRC’s board chair, and his wife back in 1959. Karen and Andrew encounter folks from all walks of life who love our rivers and enjoy river recreation. Along the way, they celebrate all the progress made for our rivers and highlight the important work still to be done.

“Come join us and walk the blue carpet to the premiere of this fun documentary that celebrates 65 years of our work protecting and restoring New England’s great river,” notes Andrew Fisk. “You’ll get to meet some tremendous river friends and see the river through their eyes, as well as the issues that we confronted from the 1950s to today.”

The film will be followed by a panel discussion. Participants will also have the opportunity to share your favorite way to enjoy our rivers. Doors open at 6:30pm, program begins at 7pm. The Parlor Room is located at 32 Masonic St., Northampton, MA. RSVPs encouraged and appreciated but not required: http://bit.ly/CRC-Film.
