Folk musicians playing three concerts to benefit CT River

Greenfield, MA. April 9, 2014. – Well-known musicians Robin and Linda Williams and Their Fine Group will play three shows throughout the Connecticut River valley to benefit the Connecticut River Watershed Council’s (CRC) annual Source to Sea Cleanup. Robin and Linda’s blend of bluegrass, folk, old-time and acoustic country music is known from NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion. They have also appeared on “The Grand Old Opry” and “Austin City Limits.” Pat and Tex LaMountain, of Greenfield, MA who led CRC’s popular Living Along the River concerts, will open the shows.

You can see Robin and Linda Williams perform live on Friday, April 25, 7:30pm at Memorial Hall in Shelburne Falls, MA; Saturday, April 26, 7:30pm at the Pentangle Town Hall Theater in Woodstock, VT; or Sunday, April 27, 3pm at The Kate in Old Saybrook, CT. The 18^th annual Source to Sea Cleanup is scheduled for September 26 & 27, 2014. Each fall, CRC members and volunteers clean up shorelines in in all four states (NH, VT, MA, CT) of the Connecticut River watershed. Thousands of volunteers of all ages and abilities work on foot or by boat to remove trash from the Connecticut River and its tributaries. To date, volunteers have prevented more than 851 tons of trash from flowing downstream. You can help protect our water resources and be a part of this fun and positive event by registering a cleanup group, joining an existing group, or reporting trash sites in need of cleaning.
