Pull Together – Water Chestnut Removal in Lyme, CT (Selden Cove)
July 6, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT
It’s time to pull together — help us remove the invasive water chestnut from our waterways
REGISTER HERE!
Water chestnut is a harmful aquatic, invasive species, which is known to take over stretches of water. When left unchecked, water chestnut has the potential to decimate ecosystems and eliminate recreational opportunities.
Join us at 66 Selden Rd, Lyme, CT 06371. Once you register, you will be contacted by our team leaders to stagger volunteers at the boat launch to prevent crowding. Bring work clothes, gloves, a mask as well as your canoe/kayak and a PFD! See you there!
Due to COVID-19, we require all attendees wear masks. We’ve limited the event to 25 people and ask that attendees keep a paddle’s length between one another.
