Paddle with your River Stewards – Vernon Dam to Northfield

Join the Brattleboro Outing Club and CRC to paddle the Connecticut River from Vernon Dam, VT/NH to Northfield, MA!
CRC is pleased to join with the Brattleboro Outing Club to spend a day on the river! CRC’s NH, VT, and MA River Stewards Kate Buckman, Kathy Urffer, and Kelsey Wentling will share information about the relicensing of the Wilder, Bellows Falls, Vernon and Turners Falls Dams and the Northfield Mountain Pump Storage facility. These facilities have been undergoing relicensing for 10 years and we are on the cusp of the final opportunities to comment to get the best deal for our River and communities.
This will be a one-way, strenuous down river trip, requiring carpooling & boat transportation and a car shuttle. We will drive to the put-in, drop our boats, and drive enough cars to the take-out so we can shuttle back to our cars at the end of the paddle.
Bring your own boat, lunch, and plenty of water.
