Join CRC and Ask the River to celebrate World Fish Migration Day with a sunset paddle at the confluence of the West and Connecticut Rivers. Bring flashlights and luminaries to light the way for migrating fish. This flotilla will include community handmade lanterns. Bring your own lantern or register for lantern-making workshops at River Gallery School on May 2 and 7.
Spectators and paddlers welcome. Enjoy the magical view from The MARINA Restaurant. Paddlers can bring your own boats, paddles and PFDs, or rent them ($20 for the evening) from the Vermont Canoe Touring Center. Launch from The MARINA Restaurant or Brattleboro Outing Club dock (28 Spring Tree Road, Brattleboro) or Vermont Canoe Touring Center (451 Putney Road, Brattleboro).
