Join CRC River Steward, Kelsey Wentling, as she gives a virtual presentation for the Shoreline Group of the Sierra Club Connecticut.

The Connecticut River, meaning “long tidal river,” winds through four New England states, draining 11,000 square miles of land into the Long Island Sound. As the impacts of the climate crisis intensify, extreme weather events and sea level rise will alter the function of New England’s great river, prompting humans and wildlife to adapt to these changes. This talk will consider how extreme weather, stormwater runoff and climate change influence the flow of the Connecticut River and what role humans plan in offsetting these changes.
