The host organizations of Connecticut’s  World Water Day 2022 celebration would like to invite you to attend the following events.

WHAT: The World Water Day 2022 theme is Groundwater: Making the Invisible Visible.

There will be two World Water Day 2022 events designed to increase awareness and share information about how we use and manage this invisible, yet precious groundwater resource we all depend upon for drinking water, healthy flowing streams and abundant fish and wildlife. We’ll also be recognizing and celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act, how far we’ve come and how we can all do our part to protect clean water.

WHEN and WHERE:

Monday, March 21st/12:00-1:00 pm/Online Event: This one hour  program will feature messages from Connecticut dignitaries and a Groundwater 101 presentation. A panel discussion will explore threats to groundwater and steps we can all take to ensure every Connecticut resident has access to adequate clean water, now and in the future.

REGISTER HERE

Tuesday, March 22nd/Time TBD/Legislative Office Building: If safe and feasible, an in-person rally-style event to commemorate World Water Day 2022 will be scheduled to provide an opportunity for Connecticut legislators to learn about proposed legislation and the ongoing need to equitably protect and manage our water resources now, and for generations to come.
