Trees for Streams
February 29, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am EST
Presented by Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historic Park: This Working Woodlands Workshop will feature a discussion of riparian buffers along our streams and their impact on water quality. Our presenters, Lisa Niccolai (White River Natural Resources Conservation District) and Ron Rhodes (Connecticut River Conservancy) , will cover river restoration techniques and design, tree and shrub ordering and planting, potential funding sources, competition concerns, and survival rates. Private landowners are encouraged to attend to learn more about forest management and fighting an uncertain future with a changing climate.
